Elements

The evening spoiles easily, not just from the sudden torrential rain beating down on the red brick houses but from the coldness that inches through me when I think of him, and all those moments I’ve lost because I let him in again, or rather because I’ve never let him go. My lonely bones rattle and ache. My head hurts from picturing her. She is Summer, He is Winter and I am Nothing.
